Two players with southwest Saskatchewan connections will be bringing home bronze medals from the Canada Summer Games.
Shaunavon's Mason Fauser and former Swift Current resident Aiden Kilshaw helped Saskatchewan to third place at the tournament in St. John's, Newfoundland.
"Means a ton," Fauser said. "Showing up with one of the smaller provinces in Canada and showing what we've got. It feels good."
Kilshaw played catcher and went 2 for 4 in the clinching 4-2 win over PEI today.
"We've got a lot of heart and compete," Kilshaw said. "It takes everyone. Our compete didn't stop."

Kilshaw worked with starter Mitchell Rauckman as he went the distance despite getting down 2-0 early in the game.
"I just went out to Mitch and I told him you've been throwing a great game and keep attacking with your fastball," Kilshaw said. "You're one of the best pitchers here they're not going to touch you. Just keep attacking."
Rauckman ended up giving up 2 runs on 6 hits in 7 innings to get the complete game victory.
Fauser didn't play in the bronze medal game, but he went 2 for 9 with a walk in the tournament and earned a win pitching in relief.
"Played together as a team," Fauser said. "We had a bond right from the start. We excelled and what we could do and just did our job."
Fauser is also a prospect of the Swift Current Broncos in the WHL and played for the Swift Current Home Hardware Legionnaires for the last two seasons.
