Days like yesterday really remind people as to WHY Saskatchewan is called the land of the living skies.

At around 4:30 yesterday afternoon, the first of several tornado warnings came through on many Weyburnites phones. While there was funnel cloud sightings in the Cedoux area (still awaiting confirmation from Environment Canada), here in Weyburn we were simply treated to a show of colours and clouds, along with a constant rumbling of thunder and a bit of rain.

This morning, Mother Nature decided to take a turn again, and instead of beautiful colours, she made sure you could barely see anything.

Just a few hours later, the sun began shining and the never-ending battle between sun and clouds began proving once again that the land of the living skies is nothing if not entertaining.
