High River's Jason Glass won the Battle of the Rockies on Sunday in Rocky Mountain House.

Glass even set a new track record on the final day of chuckwagon races for the season with a time of 1:12.25.

However, it was Calgary's Chanse Vigen who took the World Chuckwagon Championship for the third consecutive year, which ties a WPCA record.

The World title was decided by who had the most points after Saturday night's heats. Glass started the Battle of the Rockies with a very small lead over Vigen, but Vigen picked it up over the final heats of the season in Rocky Mountain House for the win.

Vigen won by only 4.5 points over Glass. Vigen ties Ronnie Glass (Jason's grandfather) (1950-1952), Tom Dorchester (1969-1971), George Normand (1991-1993), and Kurt Bensmiller (2017-2019) as the only drivers to win three consecutive World titles.

Other local favourites, Jordie Fike from Blackie finished in 18th in the World standings, as Dayton Sutherland from DeWinton placed 21st overall on the season.

Here are the results from the final chuckwagon races of the season.
