The City of Moose Jaw has announced that its second and final Household Hazardous Waste Day of 2025 will be Sept. 6. 

From 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., residents can safely dispose of their unwanted chemicals and other household hazardous materials at the City Complex at 1010 High St. W. free of charge. 

Some of the materials that will be accepted include: 

  • Aerosol cans (hair spray, deodorant, household cleaners, etc.) 
  • Liquid household cleaners 
  • Batteries (Lithium ion, alkaline, rechargeable, etc.) 
  • Light bulbs (Fluorescent, LED, metal halide, etc.) 

Residents are reminded that oil, oil filters, oil containers and antifreeze can be disposed of at the city landfill free of charge during regular operating hours. 

As well, unwanted paint and electronics can be taken to SARCAN for recycling.
