The 2025 Teulon International Truck & Tractor Pull brought crowds, horsepower, and plenty of small-town spirit to Green Acres Park this past weekend. With over 50 years of pulling history behind it, the event continues to grow into one of the most anticipated weekends of the summer.
Spectators from across the region packed the stands as the engines fired up at 2:00 p.m. both Saturday and Sunday, delivering a full lineup of classes, family fun, and heart-pounding competition. The grounds buzzed with excitement as a wide range of pulling divisions took center stage. The divisions included Hot Stock and Super Stock, Open Modified, diesel pickups, local trucks, and antique tractors.
Mini builds highlight the next generation of pullers
The Mini builds division gave younger competitors a chance to shine, drawing loud cheers from the crowd. We spoke to one of the drivers during the weekend for the mini pull, young Joise Penner impressed her parents and onlookers with her determination and focus behind the wheel, despite her nerves.
“Oh, I'm absolutely beyond proud that was all we could have hoped for. Now we'll make a few changes to it and make it work a little better.” says Mr. Penner
Events like the Mini builds are part of what gives Teulon its charm, adding new and exciting additions to the weekend makes it even more interesting to come and watch.

Antiques and innovation side by side
Longtime fans were treated to a range of antique tractors, many restored to peak condition, pulling alongside some of the most powerful modified machines in the region. The event draws participants of all levels, from first-time local entries to seasoned veterans like Donald Dufnar of Buxton, N.D.
Dufnar has been attending the Teulon pull for decades, bringing his famous custom-built “Green Goat” tractor year after year.
“I built my Green Goat in 1976, and I think I’ve been here every year since I built it,” Dufnar says.
He also brought his “Diggin’ Deer” machine this year, with tuning support from his son Daniel.

Crowd favourites and community pride
Throughout the weekend, pullers competed in crowd-favourite classes like Super Stock 4x4s, 2-wheel drive trucks, multi-engine alcohol tractors, and modified pickups. From the deep rumbles of antique diesels to the high-pitched roar of full-blown machines, the track delivered non-stop action for every kind of fan.
Off the track, attendees enjoyed barbeque meals served by the Lions Club and refreshments at the Teulon Curling Club’s Barley Gardens.
“I think Teulon’s got one of the best shows around. They get a big crowd, and they get a lot of participants, it’s just fun to come up here.” Dufnar adds.
With strong attendance, community involvement, and a family-friendly atmosphere, organizers once again delivered a top-tier event that celebrated both tradition and innovation in the sport of tractor pulling.
