Southwest team wins annual ranch rodeo

The 15th annual Herbert Ranch Rodeo drew out crowds this past weekend with eight teams of four cowboys. 

The champions of this year's Herbert Ranch Rodeo were the Orange Team, originating from the Cadillac area.

Events included; community sort, wild cow milking, the pony express, and the scramble. 

Additionally, children ages four to seven participated in a boot race, while ages eight to 12 competed in capture the flag with calves.

Thanks to the buckle purchasers, Brent and Jackie Weiss, $1,900 is set to be donated to the Friends of Cypress Lake.
