Three individuals are facing charges following the recovery of a stolen vehicle.
On August 10, Outlook RCMP received a report of a stolen truck travelling on Highway #219 in the RM of Rudy. The vehicle was recently stolen in Saskatoon
Police discovered the suspect vehicle stuck in a field in a rural area south of Whitecap. Officers believed the suspects fled on foot.
With the assistance of Cormon Park Police and Saskatoon Police, a drone and police dog were deployed, with assisting officers searching the area
As a result, two males and a female were arrested.
The stolen truck was recovered.
Resulting from further investigation, 38-year-old Jamie Dyck from Meacham, SK is charged with:
- one count, resists/obstruct peace officer, Section 129(a), Criminal Code;
- one count, dangerous operation of motor vehicle, Section 320.13(1), Criminal Code;
- two counts, flight from peace officer, Section 320.17, Criminal Code;
- one count, operation while prohibited, Section 320.18, Criminal Code;
- one count, breaking, entering, committing, Section 348(1)(b), Criminal Code;
- one count, disguised with intent to commit an offence, Section 351(2), Criminal Code; and
- one count, mischief over $5000, Section 430(3), Criminal Code.
40-year-old Kristi Kraft from Saskatoon, SK is charged with,
- one count, breaking, entering, committing, Section 348(1)(b), Criminal Code; and
- one count, mischief over $5000, Section 430(3), Criminal Code.
41-year-old Christopher Prentice from Saskatoon, SK is charged with:
- one count, possession of property obtained by crime over $5000, Section 354(1)(a), Criminal Code;
- one count, dangerous operation of motor vehicle, Section 320.13(1), Criminal Code;
- one count, flight from peace officer, Section 320.17, Criminal Code;
- one count, breaking, entering, committing, Section 348(1)(b), Criminal Code;
- one count, mischief over $5000, Section 430(3), Criminal Code; and
- one count, fail to comply with probation order, Section 733.1(1), Criminal Code.
Prentice was also arrested on a Canada Wide warrant from St. Albert RCMP in Alberta.
Dyck ad Prentice appeared in Saskatoon Provincial Court on August 13 while Kraft is scheduled to appear in Court in Outlook on September 18.
