The Young Fellows Club of Weyburn has once again helped out Inclusion Weyburn with the purchase of a sensory swing.

Inclusion President Jackie Wilson said the newest swing is in the Sensory Room at the Spark Centre, along with other equipment for their program participants to use while attending the Summer Day Camps.

"Every camp has a sensory room set up in it, and for the last few years, the Young Fellows have given us money to purchase new equipment that we need, and this year the purchase was a swing," she shared.

This is the third sensory swing the organization has provided for Inclusion, two designed for younger children, and a larger one for the teen camp.

"It's hard to believe that it costs $5,000, but it's highly specialized, and up to safety standards. It's really good for self-regulation, the movement of the swing. There are different attachments that can go on it. The one that's on there now is just almost like a hammock that you can lie on and swing in."

Wilson said the Young Fellows have always been more than willing to help.

"We're just so fortunate," she commented. "They say, 'What is the amount that you need for the purchase?' and they give us some funding. They've been so, so good. We're really lucky to have that organization in our community."

She added that the community as a whole has been supportive of Inclusion Weyburn.
