The Weyburn Police Service followed up on a report of a man in violation of his court-ordered conditions on Sunday. Police located him out after curfew and outside his approved residence. Deputy Chief Shane St. John says this was not an isolated incident.
“This person has been picked up a few times, and we had a call about them again out of their residence past curfew. We did locate them.”
St. John explains that while he was reported to be in violation of his conditions, he likely would have been found by police that night regardless.
“We do a lot of random checks, and they would have been checking on him anyway, but they did get a tip that he was out.”
The man was in court on Tuesday morning where he was remanded for a future court date.
