Progress is continuing to be made on the aquatic expansion project at the Bob Snodgrass Recreation Complex (BSRC).

High River Town Council reviewed the recent milestones achieved during the Aug. 11 regular meeting.

Recently, the leisure pool and hot tub slab base have been poured, and the stairs to the waterslide platform have been poured.

“Upcoming we have of particular interest, is the water slide delivery by the end of August,” said Reiley McKerracher, Director of Municipal Services.

Crews are continuing work on roofing, changing room masonry walls, and adjusting the weeping tile drainage system.

Several updates have been made to the project through approved change orders, totaling $ 1,359,000, with a contingency of $1,000,023 remaining.

To facilitate work on the project, the old basin is expected to be closed on Nov. 11, with the lobby closing on Dec. 4.

The old basin and lobby are expected to reopen in June of 2026.
