Team Sask's Lila Stewart struck gold again in diving, taking top place in the women’s 1m springboard event. This follows Tuesday’s gold medal in artistic and yesterday’s bronze in 3m springboard.
Team Sask heads into Day 14 of competition with 11 medals total -- 3 gold, 3 silver, and 5 bronze.

ARTISTIC SWIMMING
- In the Duet Free Routine preliminary today, Joley Friesen and Sienna Kuchuran placed third while Bronte Cawkwell and Quynn Middelkoop scored seventh. Friesen and Kuchuran will now be in the running for a medal on Saturday at 2:00 PM NST/10:30 AM CST.
- After today’s Solo Free Routine preliminary, Morgan Vaughan will compete in the medal flight on Saturday at 2:00 PM NST/10:30 AM CST.
BASEBALL (F)
- Saskatchewan rallied in the seventh inning but ultimately fell to Nova Scotia today 7-9. They’ll play against Ontario in the quarterfinal game on Saturday at 10:00 AM NST/6:30 AM CST.
BOX LACROSSE (M)
- Another win today for the male Box Lacrosse team, 7-0 against Newfoundland. Next up is BC on Friday at 5:00 PM NST/1:30 PM CST.
DIVING
- Lila Stewart takes home another gold after her performance in the 1m Springboard event. At press time, the men’s team is competing in the finals of their 3m Springboard event.
GOLF
- Scores at the end of round three: Ethan Hunter (229), Ryan Mosher (232), Grace Odnokon (244) and Tayla Perry (271). In the team event, Saskatchewan currently sits in sixth place with 471 points.
SOFTBALL (M)
- Thursday’s first game against Nova Scotia ended in a loss for Saskatchewan (11-10). It was an exciting one though, with Saskatchewan scoring 3 in the top of 7, Nova Scotia scoring 3 in the bottom, and all tied at 10 with extra innings.
- At press time, Saskatchewan is up against Newfoundland.
VOLLEYBALL (M/F)
- A hard-fought but tough loss for men’s side today. Sask fell to Quebec in five sets, just losing out by two points in the end. Next up is the quarterfinal match vs Manitoba on Friday at 4:30 PM NST/1:00 PM CST.
- The opposite was true on the women’s team: Saskatchewan took Manitoba in five sets, besting them by two points. They will move to the quarterfinals ranked first in Pool A, and will play Friday at 4:30 PM NST/1:00 PM CST.
WRESTLING
- A big, busy day in Wrestling today for Team Sask. In today’s first bout against PEI they took the match 49-5. It was a tougher go in the afternoon against Ontario (36-13 for Team O) but Saskatchewan was victorious over Yukon. In the team event they will face off against Manitoba for 5th place on Friday at 1:30 PM NST/10:00 AM CST.

The Winnipeg Blue Bombers improved to 6 and 4 last night with a 26-13 win over the Alouettes in Montreal.
Week 12 of CFL action continues with the Edmonton Elks look to make it three straight wins when they visit the Ottawa Redblacks in CFL action tonight. Edmonton is coming off wins over Montreal and Toronto in the past two weeks and trying to inch closer to the BC Lions for fourth in the West Division. Ottawa has lost four of its last six entering the contest.
The Saskatchewan Roughriders will put their 8 and 1 record on the line when they take on the Stampeders in Calgary tomorrow.
The Toronto Blue Jays are back in action tonight when they visit the Miami Marlins for the opener of a three-game series. Toronto dropped two of three to Pittsburgh before having yesterday off. Shane Bieber is set to make his first start for the Jays after being acquired at the trade deadline from Cleveland. It will be the 2020 American League Cy Young winner's season debut after recovering from Tommy John surgery.
