The Southeast Viragos are gearing up for their football season. With a their opening game today, starting with a road game in Swan River, Manitoba.
Coach Matthew McGillivray says the team is eager to hit the field.
After a busy offseason, the Viragos are ready to showcase their improved squad. “We've been working pretty hard this offseason, so we are definitely looking forward to showing everyone our new and improved team,” McGillivray added.
This year’s roster features seven returning players and several new additions, giving the team extra depth and versatility. “We picked up quite a few new players and we have about 7 returning, so we should be good,” McGillivray said.
With eight regular-season games ahead, the Estevan Viragos have put in the hard work over the summer with practices three days a week and additional conditioning sessions. Fans can expect a season full of energy, skill, and determination as the team looks to make its mark on the field.
