Environment Canda is warning of a long duration heat event that is expected over the next 7 days.
Daytime temperatures are calling for highs between 29 to 33 degrees Celsius for communities across Central Alberta.
Overnight low temperatures ranging between 9 to 13 degrees will offer some relief from the heat.
Health experts advise to consider rescheduling outdoor activities to the morning or evening, when temperatures will be cooler, as extreme heat can affect everyone's health.
Watch for signs of heat exhaustion in yourself and others.
Signs may include headache, nausea, dizziness, thirst, dark urine and intense fatigue.
