Keely Chalk is our August 25 winner of Farmer Appreciation – Harvest Edition!
Keely shares:
"I would like to nominate my boyfriend’s family, who operate a multi-generational grain farm. Every member of the family plays a role in the operation, which has been proudly passed down, grown, and developed over the past 121 years. Since becoming part of their lives, I’ve gained a deep appreciation for the realities of farm life and all that’s involved in the lifestyle. The constant breakdowns that need fixing, the way weather can change plans in an instant, and the balance of celebrating milestones, like birthdays, before rushing back out to the fields. Their dedication, patience, and work ethic are truly inspiring, and I deeply admire the commitment they pour into both their family and their farm."
Keely has won $100 to Déjà Vu Café and a Canadian Tire gift card, and she also sent appreciation—another $100 to Déjà Vu Café and a Canadian Tire gift card—to the Swanson family farm in the Keeler area.
Harvest is in full swing across southern Saskatchewan! We’re celebrating alongside you with Farmer Appreciation – Harvest Edition, presented by Silver Star Salvage & Recycling.
Share your operation and photos with us! We’re sending lunch, courtesy of Déjà Vu Café, to hardworking farm teams throughout southern Saskatchewan. Those teams get to pay it forward, surprising a fellow farm with lunch, too.
All entries also qualify for the GRAND PRIZE: $1,000 of FMC’s Express SG from Parrish & Heimbecker. Get your crew entered [here].
