Estevan Police Service (EPS) officers were kept busy with a range of incidents on Monday, including theft investigations, public assistance, and arrests.
A 49-year-old man was arrested south of Hitchcock by the RCMP in connection with two thefts from vendors in Estevan. The suspect was transported to EPS headquarters and lodged in cells as investigations continue.
EPS also provided extensive support to a 30-year-old woman from Winnipeg, who was left stranded in Estevan by the man she had been traveling with. Officers offered multiple services and supports to ensure her safety and well-being.
In another case, a female victim reported an assault to police. Following an interview, charges are now pending against an Estevan man and woman for uttering threats and assault.
Police responded to multiple reports of erratic driving, stopping and speaking with several drivers to ensure public safety.
A report of suspicious activity at Estevan Self Storage led officers to confront a male and female on the property. Both were removed, and a 37-year-old man was arrested on outstanding warrants. He was later released from custody.
EPS continues to encourage residents to report suspicious behavior and remains committed to maintaining safety and order in the community.
