Five cyclists pedaling in support of Alberta Search and Rescue are heading north on Hwy. 40 through Grande Cache before pushing another 91 km and camping overnight at the Kakwa River Provincial Recreation Area,

It's Day Four of their 1,800 km ride called AB4960 from the U.S. border to the Northwest Territories to raise awareness and funds for search and rescue (SAR).

The team — Keith Pushor, Daniel Hagan, Scott Korbett, Guy Bellis and Mervyn Hiebert — reached Hinton last night, where Cochrane SAR handed off support to Hinton SAR.

Tomorrow, the group arrives in Grande Prairie, where a media event and presentation are planned before they push on to Grimshaw for the evening.

They are scheduled to arrive at the Northwest Territory border on Aug. 30.
