A unique piece of southwest history is the focus of The Swift Current Museum's upcoming Lunch and Learn on September 17.

Kent Karemaker will be giving a presentation on his journey in bringing the halls of Shaunavon's famed Grand Hotel back to life. Crystal Ljunggren, the Education Coordinator with the Museum, said she hopes guests can appreciate the hard work and dedication behind the revival of a piece of southwest history.

“I truly believe that he has a remarkable story about the history of the hotel, and the stories that it shares within those walls,” said Ljunggren.

Those interested in attending the Lunch and Learn can pre-register at swiftcurrent.ca/museum.

Lunch will be served for $12, but attendees are free to bring a lunch if they choose to.

Registration for the lunch portion of the Lunch and Learn will close on September 12.
