Corban Knight is once again an Okotoks Oiler, but this time as an assistant coach and director of player development.

The BCHL club made the announcement yesterday on their website and through social media.

Knight has a wealth of experience in the NHL, AHL, University hockey, international hockey with the KHL in Russia and in Switzerland with SC Bern.  He also suited up for Team Canada during the 2022 Olympics.

The return to his junior club brings back memories for fans, as they may remember he notched 72 points in 61 games in the 2008-2009 season.

The Okotoks Oilers pre-season gets underway next week as they host the Blackfalds Bulldogs next Wednesday at Viking Rentals Centre.

The regular season starts Sept. 19.
