The Bob Snodgrass Recreation Complex (BSRC) fieldhouse closure has been extended.

The facility is set to reopen on Sept. 4.

The fieldhouse, walking track, and small arena at the BSRC was originally scheduled to be closed from Aug. 25 to Aug. 29 for electrical upgrades and the installation of equipment in the small arena, which will service the expanded pool space.

The closure has now been extended to complete additional electrical upgrades in the fieldhouse.

The closure doesn’t affect the small arena, which is scheduled to reopen today (Aug. 29) at 5 p.m.

All monthly or annual pass holders as of Aug. 25 will receive a one-month extension once the fieldhouse reopens.

“The town is coordinating expansion work carefully to keep disruptions as low as possible,” the Town of High River said in a media release. “Thank you for your patience and understanding as we work to enhance our recreational facility and ensure a safe environment for all users.”
