The Cochrane and District Chamber of Commerce is hosting a municipal election forum on October 14th, giving residents and business owners a chance to hear from candidates for town council and mayor.

Participants are asked to pre-register online through the Chamber’s website, where they can also submit questions in advance.

“We’re hoping to attract business owners to come out and present their questions and concerns to the candidates,” said Chamber Executive Director Jennifer Wanner. “But we’re not going to turn anybody away. We care about this community and the economic growth driving it.”

Wanner emphasized that the forum aims to be professional and informative.

“My hope would be that everybody [candidates] would show up because this would be their opportunity to connect with the business community and to really be heard for what they stand for and what their platforms would be,” she said.
