The Moose Jaw Warriors have two exhibition games coming up. They'll play the Broncos in Swift Current on Friday night with a re-match set for Assiniboia's Southland Co-op Centre Saturday night. That game is a 5 o'clock start.

While classes get underway today, local high school football players got their new season started on the weekend in the South Rural 5A Football League. The Central Cyclones beat Balgonie's Greenall Griffins 28-14 while the Peacock Tornadoes fell by a score of 22-7 to the Yorkton Raiders. Action continues Friday with three games, including Peacock at Swift Current to play the Colts while Central will take on Estevan.

In the CFL yesterday- Calgary Stampeders outscored Edmonton Elks 28-7 while the Toronto Argonauts beat Hamilton 35-33. In case you missed it, the Saskatchewan Roughriders were winners in the Labour Day Classic at Mosaic Stadium - 34-30 over Winnipeg. The Riders and Blue Bombers will go at it again Saturday afternoon in Winnipeg.

The Toronto Blue Jays dropped a 5-4 decision in Cincinnati yesterday. The Jays remain on top in the American League east, two-and-a-half games up on both Boston and the New York Yankees.
