It's harvest season, so be aware of farm equipment on roads.

Vulcan County put out a reminder on social media, letting people know about road safety during the harvest season.

During harvest season, farmers are moving lots of slow, oversized equipment on the roads, which makes it tough to see around them and tricky to pass.

When coming up to a farmer driving farm equipment on the road, slow down and keep a safe distance.

On top of that, watch for signals from farm operators, and use caution when driving near the farm equipment.

If you are passing slow-moving equipment, the oncoming traffic has the right of way, so be patient and wait for a safe opportunity to pass.

"Let’s work together to share the road and stay safe!!" Vulcan County stated in the Social Media post.
