They took him in the first round of the draft, 18th overall, and the Moose Jaw Warriors have signed Lanigan, Saskatchewan's Kash Elke to a WHL Scholarship and Development Agreement.
Elke will play this season with the Tisdale Trojans in the U-18 Triple "A" league; but he said that he's looking forward to lacing up his skates for the Warriors in the future.
