Vulcan County has moved to a Fire Restriction due to recent dry conditions.
Categories
With warm, dry conditions returning to Southern Alberta, a nearby county has issued a Fire Restriction.
Vulcan County announced the restriction on Tuesday (Sept. 2) morning, citing the recent change in conditions.
While the restriction is in effect, no open fires are permitted, and no new permits will be issued.
Campfires at designated sites are still allowed, as are fires contained in cooking appliances, such as barbecues.
Foothills County has been under a Fire Advisory since June 20. It doesn't apply to the towns of Okotoks or High River, and neither town has imposed any restrictions of their own.
