On Wednesday afternoon, the RCMP confirmed that Bone is now in custody after voluntarily turning himself in to the Manitoba First Nations Police Service.
The Manitoba RCMP issued a short statement thanking the public and media for their assistance in the case.

A 23-year-old man is dead following a shooting in a Manitoba First Nation community over the weekend, and police are now searching for a suspect wanted on a charge of second-degree murder.
The Manitoba First Nation Police Service (MFNPS) responded to reports of a shooting around 6:15 p.m. on August 31 in Waywayseecappo First Nation. When officers arrived, they found the young man suffering from a gunshot wound. He was rushed to the hospital in critical condition but later died from his injuries.
RCMP Major Crime Services has since taken over the investigation, which they say is being treated as a targeted incident.
According to the RCMP, the suspect, identified as 32-year-old Ferlin Bone, who was known to the victim, left the scene in a red SUV, which police later found abandoned outside the community.
An arrest warrant has been issued for Bone, who is now wanted on a charge of second-degree murder.
