The Town of Nanton is reminding residents about student drop-off safety.
They took to Facebook to offer up suggestions from their Peace Officer Carlos.
Those include not stopping at the four-way stop to drop kids off, as it is not safe and jams up the whole intersection.
When crossing the street, cross at the crosswalks, and do not jaywalk to take a shortcut.
If you are walking with a stroller, keep them on the proper side of the road, so drivers are able to see you.
When dropping off young ones, find a legal, safe spot to park, even it's a short walk away from the school
"A couple of extra steps go a long way toward keeping mornings smooth and safe for everyone," the Town posted in the Facebook post. "We know mornings can be a whirlwind, but stopping in the middle of an intersection isn’t just unsafe and it creates traffic chaos for everyone else trying to get through."
Even if it means walking a little further, by parking in a safe, legal spot, it will create more safety for everyone.
