Diamond Valley Public Safety is reminding motorists to slow down in school and playground zones.

On Tuesday, Sept. 2, Diamond Valley Municipal Enforcement stopped a driver travelling 90 km/h in a 30 km/h school zone in Longview during the lunch break.

The driver received a mandatory court summons and will appear before a Provincial Court Judge.

“There is zero tolerance for excessive speeding in these areas. Speed kills,” Diamond Valley Fire Rescue said in a Facebook post. “Please slow down and help keep our children and communities safe.”
