Estevan’s Living Skies Woodworking is turning heads, locally and beyond. Owner Steven Raymond recently crafted a custom sign for country star Lainey Wilson, continuing a growing list of high-profile clients that includes Colter Wall, Jelly Roll, and even Hawthorne Bjornsson from Game of Thrones.

The idea behind each piece, Steven explains, is personalization. “We did not want to just put Lainey Wilson on the sign. We scoured her social media for color palettes and symbols she loves. The horseshoe was a huge thing for her. It really reflects her southern roots.”

The journey began in 2018, when Steven and his wife started making hand-carved flower boxes in their basement. “I saw what a CNC could do, and then we started hand-carving signs. Now we have lasers and CNC machines, and the possibilities are endless.”

Living Skies Woodworking is not just about high-profile projects. They also engage with the Estevan community, recently hosting a scavenger hunt where participants searched for hidden handcrafted items around town. “It was a huge hit,” Steven says. “Next time, we will make it bigger and more challenging.”

For those interested in custom woodworking projects or wanting to follow their latest creations, Facebook remains the best way to reach Steven and the team. With a busy holiday season ahead and a big announcement coming in December, Living Skies Woodworking is showing that small-town craftsmanship can make a big impact.
