Early this morning after 12:20 a.m., Rocky Mountain House RCMP discovered a fatal two-vehicle collision on Highway 11 at Range Road 6-0 in Clearwater County, Alta.
Police say the crash involved an SUV and a semi-truck. The driver of the SUV, a 22-year-old Rocky Mountain House resident, was found outside the vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the semi was not injured.
Investigators believe the SUV entered oncoming traffic before being struck by the semi.
RCMP remained on scene for several hours, and the highway has since reopened.
