A Swift Current man recently pleaded guilty to a charge stemming from a series of thefts and break-ins that took place this past winter.
Jesse Ryan Oscar appeared in Swift Current Provincial Court last week, pleading guilty to one count of possession of stolen property with a value under $5,000
Crown prosecutor Greg Lee shared that the 25-year-old changed his previous plea of not guilty to guilty.
The accused is set to return to court for his sentencing on October 8.
In June, the coaccused in the case, Abigail Squirrel, pleaded guilty and was sentenced on two counts.
Additionally, Oscar faces several charges from unrelated incidents, including;
- One count of assault,
- One count of breach of a probation order, and
- One count of breach of a no-contact order.
The accused is set to return to court for his sentencing on October 8.
