The Town of Radville is shifting from a busy summer into a fall season packed with community events. After a summer that saw residents enjoying the town's amenities, they are now gearing up for events in September and October.

"It was quite busy," said Radville Mayor Bob Stadnick, reflecting on the summer months. He noted it was a quieter year for infrastructure work, which was a welcome change. The summer was highlighted by the second season for the town's new pool, which hosted swimming lessons, summer adventure programs, and midnight swims. The season also included the annual rodeo in June, a slow-pitch tournament, and a volleyball tournament.

With fall underway, the town's calendar is already filling up. First up is a unique event that even the mayor is curious about.

“We got a colour run on the 7th of September,” Stadnick explained. “There are stations where they spray you with colour, different colours. It sounds like a fun thing.”

Later in the month, Radville will host its annual Heritage Days on September 20th.

“That starts this year with a parade at 11 a.m., and the car show during the afternoon,” Stadnick detailed. “There'll be kids’ games and face painting, a barbecue lunch, and a ham supper.”

Looking ahead to October, the community can expect a quilt show on October 3rd and 4th at the Holy Family Parish Church. Following that, the town will get ready for a winter favourite.

“Come October, middle of October, hockey will start here, and yeah, we go on from there,” Stadnick added.

With a full schedule of events, Stadnick hopes to see people from Weyburn and the surrounding area make the trip to Radville.

“We'd appreciate their company,” he said.
