The alleged driver facing charges from a fatal rollover last November is close to resolving his court case.
Tyrel Cronan appeared in-person at Moose Jaw Provincial Court on Wednesday along with his lawyer Merv Nidesh.
Nidesh asked for an adjournment, telling the court that he had relayed a resolution proposal to his client, but Cronan needed more time to give it consideration before moving forward.
Judge David Chow granted an adjournment to Sept. 17 in Moose Jaw Provincial Court.
According to police, they received a call on Nov. 8, 2024, from a person saying a Honda Civic was chasing them and driving erratically.
Officers located the vehicle on Main Street North, and a high-speed chase ensued.
On the 1300 block of Main Street North, the vehicle struck a median and rolled over, resulting in the death of a 31-year-old male passenger.
As a result of the incident, Cronan was charged with flight from police, dangerous operation of a motor vehicle causing death, and impaired driving causing death.
Cronan was previously released from custody on conditions.
