The Melfort RCMP are investigating a couple incidents and are asking for the public's assistance for information to assist with the investigations.
On August 26, a resident of the RM of Pleasantdale called the detachment because he had some bales in his field east of Naicam and 18 of them were damaged. It appears as though someone entered the field and struck and moved the bales around with a vehicle. The landowner is now out the cost of the damaged bales and needed to take the time to clean up the mess.
On August 29, the Melfort RCMP received a report of a theft of a heavy duty front-end loader that was owned by the RM of Kinistino. Sometime from August 12 to 29, the loader was stolen from a gravel pit in the RM of Kinisitino. The loader is a 2012 Case 721F that is orange/yellow and black.
