A 42-year-old male from Shoal Lake has been arrested and faces several charges.

On September 2, RCMP officers with the Manitoba West District Crime Reduction Enforcement Support Team (CREST) attended the RM of Yellowhead to locate a 42-year-old male who was unlawfully at large in the area.

He had outstanding charges and warrants out of both Alberta and Saskatchewan. He was wanted for:

  • Forcible confinement
  • Assault with weapon
  • Criminal Harassment
  • Assault on police officer
  • Resist/Obstruct peace officer
  • Flight from peace officer
  • Dangerous operation of motor vehicle

He was arrested on September 3 by CREST along with assistance from Manitoba RCMP Emergency Response Team (ERT), officers from Yellowhead RCMP, and RCMP Police Dog Services on his property in Shoal Lake.

After searching the property, officers located and seized a suspected stolen camper and firearm.

The suspect remains in custody and will be transported back to Alberta by Alberta RCMP.
