The Swift Current Broncos have announced perhaps the largest coaching staff in franchise history.
They've added retired local NHL veteran Travis Moen and Burnaby product Roshen Jaswal as assistant coaches.
They join the returning Regan Darby as assistants on new Head Coach Dean DeSilva's staff.
"It's an opportunity for us to just put our best foot forward in terms of development and commitment to the players," said Broncos General Manager Chad Leslie. "When you have guys around and a little larger staff, it gives you an opportunity to be very detailed and do the best job possible."
The Broncos have also retained Dave Rathjen as their goaltender coach, while adding Greg Klevgaard as an assistant goalie coach.
Another local former NHLer, Zack Smith rejoins the Broncos' staff in player development role.
"The staff have been fantastic," said DeSilva. "They have been working a lot behind the scenes. I can only do so much, and they've done a tremendous job. The four of us get along really, really well. Those guys have been working tirelessly."
The Broncos face the Moose Jaw Warriors twice this weekend in WHL pre-season action.
They host the Warriors at InnovationPlex tonight before playing a re-match tomorrow night in Assiniboia.
