After human remains were found on September 3, the victim has been identified.
On September 2, around 1:30 p.m., the Winnipeg Police Service responded to the area, east of University Crescent and Markham Road and with the assistance of WFPS, recovered the body of an adult female.
The Missing Persons Unit took over the investigation and has notified her family.
Her death is not considered criminal in nature.
