Two people are facing drug trafficking charges in Estevan after police executed a search warrant that turned up cash, cocaine and a prohibited weapon.

A 44-year-old man and a 45-year-old woman were arrested on Sept. 4 following the investigation.

The man faces several charges, including trafficking cocaine, possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking, possession of methamphetamine for the purpose of trafficking, possession of proceeds of crime over $5,000, and resisting arrest.

The woman has been charged with trafficking cocaine, possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking, possession of proceeds of crime over $5,000, and possession of a prohibited weapon.

Police say the search warrant, authorized under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act, was executed at a residence in the 400-block of Third Street. Officers seized more than $12,000 in cash, cocaine with an estimated street value of $7,000, and a prohibited weapon.

Both suspects were remanded into custody and are scheduled to appear in Estevan provincial court on Monday, Sept. 8, 2025.

Police thanked members of the public for their assistance in apprehending the male suspect, who initially fled from officers.
