Southwest motocross riders see success in Virden

Several local motocross riders were up against competitors from across the province and Manitoba over the weekend.

The Swift Current Motocross Association sent a trio of riders to Virden, Manitoba, for Round 11 of the Saskatchewan Motocross Association's Provincial Championship Series.

Swift Current's Adairia Dickie secured second place overall in the Ladies B division, in addition to 20th in the Superminis.

Rorie Dickie took sixth in the plus 40 class, as well as seventh place in the vet junior division. 

Additionally, Tristan Shipley finished 11th in the 85cc (ages 12 to 16).

Races are set to gear up again in Yorkton on Sunday, September 14.
