Three members of the Marysburg Royals were among the recipients of the Saskatoon Senior Baseball League season award winners.
Cole Bauml was named the top hitter this year. Bauml led several categories including batting average (.506), RBIs (25), and home runs (3). He also led the league in slugging (.774), OBP (.569) and hits (32).
Thomas Lessmeister was named the top pitcher. He led the league in wins (5) and had a WHIP of 0.94. Lessmeister also finished near the top in ERA (2.31) and strikeouts (31).
Curtis Strueby received the Babyak Award for being most dedicated to baseball. It was noted by the league that not only does Strueby continue to produce on the field with a .444 average and provides great defence, but that he’s the most influential figure for not only the Royals, but for the entire league.
