Keen interest in the Cochrane Generals drew a larger-than-normal pre-season crowd to the Totem Arena on Sept. 7.
Over the weekend, the Gens dropped a pair to the Mountainview Colts in their first home-and-home exhibition season series.
Tied at 2 at the end of the first period, the Colts outscored the Gens 3-1 in the second to walk away with a 5-3 win. There was no scoring in the third.

Ty Barry scored a pair and Kesar Deol rounded out the Gens' scoring.
Cochrane was outshot 45 to 34.
On Sept. 5 in Didsbury, the Gens briefly lead 2-1 early in the second on a powerplay goal before a flurry of goals gave the Colts a 4-2. Evan Malcolm and Jaxon Bouchard were the Cochrane scorers.
Cochrane outshot the Colts 30-24.
Thursday night, the Airdrie Thunder are in town for the first of a home-and-home series against the Gens to round out the preseason. The puck drops at 7 p.m.
