So, a few days ago I was setting up a trampoline net for the girls, so all three of them could safely jump. The net said it fit 10/12/14/16 foot trampoline, so I figured great, it's a relatively universal one so that's awesome. I proceed to start setting it up, put a few things on backwards, got frustrated and fixed them. As the poles began going up, I started working to fix the net onto the poles, and it was not making sense. I kept doing different iterations, but nothing was working. So after over an hour of working at it, I stopped and went inside.
I was annoyed and needed to do a few things to figure out what wasn't working. But not that day. I left it until the next day, to hopefully re-group and collect myself before resuming. After watching a few different instructional videos on how it should look, I resumed the build. And 15 minutes later, I had it set up properly. How about that.
I think this is a good lesson that can easily be learned by anyone. There's always the saying "If at first you don't succeed, try and try again." I don't disagree with that saying, you certainly should keep trying. But maybe, take a break in between occasionally. Sometimes, allowing yourself to regroup and maybe take a breather can give you a different perspective to accomplish what you're working towards.
