ZADOROZNY

Rosslyn (Lynne) Madge Zadorozny passed away on Tuesday, September 9th, 2025, with her family by her side at the age of 82 years.  Lynne was born on December 22nd, 1942 to Gussie (née: Augusta Dale) and Ross Walker in Smeaton, Saskatchewan.

She was predeceased by her parents and her sisters, Beverly Green and Gail Walker.  Lynne is survived by her devoted husband of 62 years, Hank Zadorozny; daughters, Tatyana Zadorozny of West-Cliff-on-Sea, UK and Leslie Zadorozny of Vancouver, BC; and sisters: Carol MacDonald, Heather (Glen) Campbell, and Elizabeth (Mike) Lulchak.

After graduating with a diploma from St. Paul’s Hospital School of Nursing in 1963, Lynne’s forty-three-year nursing career began with hospitals in Saskatoon and Regina, SK.  A decade later, with two young children, Lynne completed a Bachelor of Science Nursing degree at the University of Saskatchewan.  The majority of her nursing career was working in Public Health.  She completed her career in Home Care.

Lynne met the love of her life, Hank, a farm boy from Nipawin, SK while she was in Saskatoon.  Visiting the farm was a commonly occurring adventure with a large extended family and farm life.

Lynne was very creative and had many interests and hobbies.  She found much joy in cooking, paper mâché, painting, macramé, stained glass, beading, and sewing.  Knitting was her favourite, and she produced many gifts for family and friends.

Later in life, Lynne found her sport and took up golf.  This led to close life-long friends and golf buddies (you know who you are), with annual golf trips, mostly to British Columbia.

After retiring, Lynne and Hank spent twelve years wintering in Mesa, Arizona and she spent a few weeks every summer at Big Shell Lake.  The winter trips were with life-long friends Pat and Dave Gilkes, her sisters and family.  The gatherings at the Lulchak cabin at Big Shell Lake were with her sisters, whom she appreciated and loved dearly.  Her enthusiastic joy of life and fun-loving nature will be missed by all who knew her.

A Celebration of Lynne’s Life will be held on Thursday, September 18th, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. in the Harvey Room at Moose Jaw Funeral Home.  Those not able to attend may view the service by going to www.moosejawfuneralhome.com/webcast/
