As summer is still firmly gripping the Weyburn area this weekend, a lot is going on, with something for everyone, including sports fans and treasure hunters.

The Red Wings Alumni game is being held tonight at the Whitecap Resources Centre, featuring former players from throughout the years taking to the ice. There is no admission fee for the game, which will feature players from throughout the history of the team. The puck drops at 7 p.m.

The Red Wings golf tournament is being held tomorrow at the Weyburn Golf Club. However, another golf tournament that had been set for this weekend at Mainprize, the Dr. Mainprize Foundation's 2nd annual $1M Par 3 Golf Tournament, has been cancelled.

Those with smaller children or even those forever young at heart have until the end of this weekend to enjoy Weyburn's two spray parks, at River Park and at the Don Mitchell Tot Lot, as well as the Young Fellows paddling pool. Read more: Closure dates, seasonal hour changes: City of Weyburn
