Fall is officially here, and Southeast Saskatchewan is packed with fun this weekend! From family-friendly fall festivities to high-energy sports action, there’s something for everyone to enjoy. Whether you’re exploring a corn maze, getting creative at community events, or cheering on local teams, the weekend is shaping up to be one you won’t want to miss.

Events:

🌽 Corn Cob Junction opens this weekend, offering the corn maze, hayrides, climbing wall, mini games, and a new gazebo with a fire pit for cozy treats like s’mores.

🧠 Estevan’s 2nd Annual Brain Boogie takes place Saturday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Woodlawn Park, near Fresh Air Fitness.

💖 Ripple of Kindness moves to the Estevan Public Youth Centre (EPYC) this Saturday. From 1 to 3 p.m., join the Community Wellness team and other community members for rock painting and card-making.

🍂 The Carlyle Homespun Craft & Quilt Show takes place this weekend, with handmade goods at the Sports Arena and quilts at the Memorial Hall — Saturday 10 to 7 and Sunday 10 to 4.

🎁 With food, fun, and shopping all under one roof, the Arcola Craft & Trade Show is the perfect way to kick off your fall season! Plus don’t miss out on the FREE KID’S ZONE in the hall from 11:00-2:00. Let your kids play while you shop!! It will feature bouncers, face painting, games, and bracelet making.

Sports:

🏈On the gridiron, every Estevan football team is back in action this weekend. Tonight, the Elecs hit the road to take on Yorkton. Saturday brings the Highway 39 rivalry to Weyburn, with the U12 Chargers facing the Weyburn Ravens at 3:30 p.m., followed by the U14 Oilers at 5:30 p.m. Sunday, the U10 Cudas take on the Moose Jaw Razorbacks in Weyburn, while the Estevan Viragos open their season at home against the Yorkton Lady Gridders at 3 p.m. at Woodlawn Athletic Field.

🏒Hockey also takes center stage this weekend. Tonight, the Eagle Sky Estevan Bruins host the Virden Oil Capitals, puck drop at 7 p.m. Saturday, the U18 AAA Innovex Estevan Bears welcome the Notre Dame Hounds at 6:15 p.m., hoping to build on earlier momentum.

🏎️Racing fans won’t be left out either. The Estevan Motor Speedway Enduro takes the track Saturday at 2 p.m., promising an afternoon of high-octane action.
