SaskPower has advised southwest residents of several planned power outages scheduled for Tuesday, September 16.

The first power outage began at 10:00 a.m. in Pennant and rural areas northwest of Pennant, and will affect 37 customers while work is completed to power poles in the area.

Joel Cherry, spokesperson for SaskPower, shared that the second outage will take place from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. in Hallonwuist and rural areas east of McMahon.

"The Hallonquist outage is for 70 customers," he said. "There they're splicing a new line and salvaging a pole."

Additionally, a third and brief power outage is set to take place between 2:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m., affecting rural customers south of Brock and northeast of Snipe Lake.

"We appreciate people's patience as we undertake this work, which will help to maintain reliability and reduce the number of unplanned outages in the future," added Cherry.
