 Assault

On September 13th, 2025, police were dispatched to the back lane of the 400 block of 10th Street following a report of a physical altercation. Upon arrival, officers located a 17-year-old male victim who had been punched and kicked. While the victim initially requested medical attention, he later declined and chose not to provide a statement or pursue charges at that time. An 18-year-old female matching the caller’s description was located nearby and identified.

A statement was later provided by the victim, leading to the 18-year-old female suspect being re-located by police, arrested, and charged with Assault. She was released on an Undertaking and is scheduled to appear in court on November 20th, 2025.

 

Assault with a Weapon

On September 8th, 2025, a 45-year-old male victim was struck in the back of the head with a rock at a business in the 000 block of 10th Street. The suspect, a 43-year-old male, was identified at the time; however, the victim initially declined to press charges.

On September 16th at approximately 6:30 p.m., the victim contacted police to provide a statement and indicated his desire to proceed with charges.

In the early morning hours of September 17th, at approximately 1:44 a.m., officers conducted a pedestrian stop in the 1100 block of Rosser Avenue. The 43-year-old male suspect was arrested for Assault with a Weapon. He was held in BPS detention cells to attend court in the morning.

 

Structure Fire

On September 17th at approximately 4:55 a.m., first responders were dispatched to a report of a shed fire at the rear of a residence in the 200 block of 4th Street. The homeowners had been allowing someone to stay in the small shed.

They were awoken by their dogs barking and believed they may have heard a suspect near the side of their home shortly before discovering the fire. Upon arrival, the shed was found to be fully engulfed in flames.

There were no reported injuries to people or animals. Surveillance footage from the area is being reviewed, and the incident remains under police investigation.

 

Arrest Warrant

On September 16th at approximately 8:50 a.m. police attended a hotel on Middleton Avenue and arrested a 35-year-old male on the strength of a Warrant. At the time of arrest, the male was highly intoxicated.

He was transported to Brandon Police Service detention cells and will be released once sober on an Appearance Notice with a scheduled court date of October 21st, 2025.

 

Breach of the Peace

In the past 24 hours two individuals were arrested for Breach of the Peace. They were arrested, brought to BPS detention cells and will be released once sober.

 

Theft Under $5000 / Failure to Comply Probation / Resist Arrest

On September 16th at approximately 8:45 a.m., a loss prevention officer at a business in the Corral Centre reported that a male suspect had returned to the store and was observed stealing merchandise again. When confronted, the suspect resisted and fled the scene. A short time later, police located the male at another nearby store. He was arrested and charged accordingly. The suspect was released on an Undertaking and is scheduled to appear in court on November 27th, 2025.
