There are 2,548 new COVID-19 cases Thursday and six more deaths.
Public Health says there are now 91,587 total COVID-19 cases, with 21,277 of those cases being labelled as active. Active cases are an overestimate as there is a backlog that is expected to continue as case numbers rise.
On Wednesday during a press conference, Manitoba's Deputy Chief Public Health Officer said he estimates actual case counts are eight to 10 times higher because of the high transmissibility of omicron.
Hospitalizations and deaths
There are 263 people with COVID-19 in the hospital, with 222 of those people having active cases.
There are 33 people in intensive care, with all but one of those people having active cases.
Six more people have died, bringing the total number of deaths to 1,408.

Manitoba's five-day test rate is 43.5 per cent. This high rate is due in part to people testing positive for rapid tests seeking provincial PCR testing.
The province says 6,162 tests were completed on Wednesday.
