COVID-19 hospitalizations increase by 185 since Friday

The COVID-19 numbers update for Monday, January 17 shows some marked increases since Friday. 

• 15,886 new COVID-19 have been reported breaking down to 6,293 cases reported on Friday, 5,407 new cases Saturday, and 4,186 cases on Sunday.
• There are now 72,368 active cases in the province which is a low estimation due to fewer tests being reported.
• There are now 1,007 people in hospital with COVID-19 an increase of 185 since Friday.
• ICU admissions increased by 13 for a total of 94. 
• Sadly, another 23 deaths have been reported since Friday bringing the total in the province to 3,403
• The active case count for Cochrane remains at 460, unchanged since Friday while Rocky View County is also unchanged at 570.
