Manitoba is again reporting a drop in the number of patients in hospital and ICU with COVID-19.
As of Tuesday, there are 697 Manitobans in hospital with COVID-19, down from 702 on Monday. There are 40 Manitobans in ICU with COVID-19, down from 47 on Monday.
However, it should be noted that on Monday the province indicated that about two-thirds of Manitobans in hospital with COVID-19 are there for other medical reasons but then also tested positive. The province also announced on Monday that about one-third of Manitobans in ICU with COVID-19 are there for reasons other than COVID-19.
Meanwhile, Manitoba is reporting 413 new cases of the virus on Tuesday. This includes:
- 38 in the Interlake-Eastern health region
- 38 in the Southern Health region
- 69 in the Prairie Mountain Health region
- 100 in the Northern health region
- 168 in the Winnipeg health region
Manitoba's test positivity rate is 27.3 per cent. Another 1,545 tests were performed on Monday.
