The Foothills Falcons senior girls basketball team is going to the Provincials.
The team earned their berth with an 89-81 win over crosstown rivals, the Holy Trinity Academy Knights on Friday, March 11.
It was essentially a rematch that didn't happen two years ago when just before both teams were set to play in Zone finals in 2020 the pandemic cancelled all games.
The #9 seeded Falcons will play for the 4A Senior Girl Provincial championship this weekend in Lethbridge.
It starts on Thursday and wraps up with the championship game on Saturday.
